The Hockey Alberta U11AA Hockey League is pleased to announce the winners of Players of the Month for the month of November – Beau Watson, Jonathan MaGee and Nixon Rae. The league is also proud to announce the winner of the Community Player of the Month, Wesley Welch.
Community Player of the Month
Wesley Welch – Red Deer Chiefs CSN Collision
Wesley is a fantastic leader for his peers in the dressing room. His practice habits show his teammates exactly what it takes to compete and continually improve. Each game, his hard work translates from practice into solid play, and he remains a consistent positive character on the bench. Outside of his hours at the rink, Wesley often volunteers for his church in his spare time.
Players of the Month
South Division – Beau Watson (Lethbridge Hurricanes – F)
Beau leads the Alberta U11 AA Hockey League with a whopping 73 points in the 10 games he’s played. In November, the player contributed with 15 goals and 18 assists in his team’s five (5) games. Beau is not only a leader in points; his coaching staff also say that he sets an example off the ice with his work ethic and dressing room leadership.
North Blue Division – Jonathan MaGee (SEERA Stealth – F)
Jonathan has 12 points in his team’s nine (9) games. With four (4) goals and three (3) assists in only four (4) games throughout November, his coaching staff say he is one of their most dedicated and determined players. Each game Jonathan steps on the ice, he shows perseverance until the end of the game, in both wins and losses.
North Yellow Division – Nixon Rae (Wainwright Cave Inspection Polar Kings – F)
Nixon has 29 points so far this season. With 12 goals and 11 assists in his six (6) November games, he is one of the top offensive leaders on his team. Nixon’s coaching staff describe his work ethic as “unmatched,” and state that although he may not have the physical size of some other players, he is “little in size, but massive in heart.”
