Community Players of the Month:
Cash Chisholm – Medicine Hat Hounds
Cash’s family hosted the team’s Team Builder/BBQ at the start of the season. After everyone went home, Cash insisted that the remaining food be packaged and handed out to the homeless population of Medicine Hat. The family later drove downtown and handed out hotdogs, hamburgers, and chips to those that needed food – the recipients were very grateful and appreciative!
Jesse Van Hal – Brooks Jr. Bandits
Jesse recently received a leadership award at school for his positive attitude, empathy, and for being an excellent role model through supporting his peers. He has a strong work ethic and is very helpful on his family farm. Whenever he’s not at school or hockey, you can find him processing cattle, building fences, helping with horses or maintaining equipment. Jesse was also a bat boy for the Vauxhall Jets and is involved in the annual community pie auction fundraiser. He loves being involved in the community!
