Community TEAM of the Month:
Fort McMurray Jr. Oil Barons
Rather than a Community Player of the Month, we would like to highlight an entire Team for the month of December.
The Fort McMurray Jr. Oil Barons spent December giving back to their community. They participated in the Salvation Army Kettle Campaign by adopting 2 seniors for Christmas and choosing two children from the Angel Tree to provide gifts for. They also held a food bank drive during their Home Opener weekend. The team pledges to continue working on giving back to their community throughout the rest of the 2025-26 season!
Players of the Month:
Plains Division
Seth Feenstra (Olds Grizzly’s – D) had six (6) points in his three (3) December games. With one (1) goal and five (5) assists, his coaches say he’s an excellent defender who contributes at both ends of the rink. Beyond his play, Seth is a tremendous teammate and leader who sets an example and acts as an older brother to the younger players on the team.
Capital Division
Ivor Baron (CAC ZerOne – F) had 15 points in his four (4) December games. With five (5) goals and 10 assists, his coaches say he’s constantly saying and doing the right things and taking the game and his development very seriously. With Ivor’s skillset, the team can almost always count on consistent contributions from him and his linemates.
Shield Division
Lincoln Jawa (Lakeland Panthers – G) was between the posts for (3) games in the month of December, which he saved of 94 of 114 shots (.822 save percentage). He is the second youngest goaltender in the league and only started playing the position in 2024, making his record very impressive!
