Community Players of the Month:
Max Payne – Airdrie Lightning
Max donates his time before and after school each day in the community of Crossfield as a school safety patroller, helping keep younger students and his community safe. He is a natural leader and someone others look up to, making him a positive role model both on and off the ice.
Winston Edwards – Sylvan Lake Lakers
Winston demonstrates maturity well beyond his years and a sincere desire to make a positive community impact through acts of service. He regularly shovels driveways in his neighborhood and also serves as a Junior Coach for his little brothers’ U9 team. His character makes him an outstanding role model for younger athletes.
Players of the Month:
Plains Division
Brady Coe (Lethbridge Hurricanes White – F) had seven (7) points in his four (4) November games. With five (5) goals and two (2) assists, his team staff say he’s been an incredible example of dedication, hard work, and resilience and that he is a player the team can always count on.
Capital Division
Connor Bouyea (BAC Beaumont Blazers – F) had seven (7) points in his five (5) games this month. With two (2) goals and five (5) assists, his coaching staff say his contributions go far beyond the scoresheet as his relentless work ethic is consistent both on and off the ice.
Shield Division
Owen Hehn (Three Rivers Athletic Club – G) was rock-solid in net for his (3) games in the month of November, which he saved of 51 of 59 shots (.872 save percentage). His team staff say he’s made key saves during crucial moments and has given his team confidence in every game he’s between the posts.
